Private tuition with Ade · Leeds, Yorkshire & online

One-to-One Photography Training, Built Entirely Around You

No group to keep up with, no generic syllabus, no waiting your turn. Just you, your camera and a professional photographer, working on exactly what you want to get better at, wherever you want to shoot.

  • 15+ years as a professional photographer
  • Any level, any camera
  • Questions answered after your session

Why one-to-one beats any course

A group workshop is a great day out. A private session is how you make a real leap, fast.

  • Every minute is yours. Nothing you already know, nothing that doesn’t interest you.
  • Learn on your own camera. We set it up together, so it all still makes sense when you get home.
  • Shoot what you love. Landscapes, city architecture, portraits, editing. You choose.
  • Go at your pace. Ask anything, try it again, and stop when it clicks.
“Learned more in one hour with Ade than five years of meetups. The individual support made all the difference.”

How It Works

Simple, personal, and arranged around your diary.

  1. Tell me what you want

Drop me an email with what you shoot, what’s frustrating you and what you’d love to achieve.

  2. We plan it together

A quick call or email to agree the location, the subjects and the plan for the day.

  3. Pick a date that suits

Send me a few dates and I’ll fit around you. I can come to you or meet somewhere nearby.

  4. Shoot, learn, repeat

Hands-on, at your pace, with as many questions as you like.

  5. Support afterwards

Stuck on a setting a week later? Get in touch and I’ll help.

Questions People Ask

Is one-to-one tuition right for a complete beginner?
Yes. Sessions are planned around your level, whether you’ve just unboxed your first camera or you’ve been shooting for years and want to push further.
Where do sessions take place?
Half days are usually in and around Leeds. Full days can be in the Yorkshire Dales, the Peak District or on the Yorkshire coast. Online sessions run on Zoom, so you can join from anywhere. I can come to you or meet somewhere near you.
What should I bring?
Your camera and any lenses you own. Pack everything, just in case, as we might head off in a new direction. A notepad helps too.
Are there any extra costs?
Only if your session needs them: model or studio fees for portrait work, and travel for locations further afield. We’ll agree everything before you book.
Can I get help after the session?
Yes. If something doesn’t make sense once you’re back home, get in touch and I’ll help.
Can I buy a session as a gift?
Yes, gift vouchers are available for any one-to-one session. Email me and I’ll sort it out.
